Cote Nord Property Port Douglas will be closed on ANZAC Day, Thursday, 25 April 2024. Queensland government legislation prohibits the business of selling real estate on this day.
I am reflecting on how fortunate I was to be visit Gallipoli, Turkey, (Gelibolu, TΓΌrkiye) last year. What an experience. I have no personal connection to the place, although my brave Granddad served on the Western Front, but found it extremely moving. Such a small piece of land, such a beautiful sea, such futility.
Well done to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the people and country of Turkey for the maintenance of this place. It is an important part of that country's history too.
